Dancehall is a sub-genre of reggae and, likes its parent, is usually released as dancehall riddims or dancehall singles. When people listened to reggae in the early 90′s and 2000′s it was usually a dancehall song on they heard. International artist like Elephant Man, Beenie Man, and Bounty Killer gained they’re well deserved status by showing they’re prowess on dancehall riddims.
